Persons who have filed a petition to become a conservator of the person in the San Bernardino County Superior Court may fulfill the mandatory orientation class requirement by attending the conservatorship orientation class in person, or take the class online. Please note that you will not be able to ask or submit questions if you take the class online; however, a Frequently Asked Questions link is available.
Persons who have filed a petition to become a conservator of the person and estate, or just the estate, in the San Bernardino County Superior Court, are required to attend the conservatorship orientation class in person. If attending the class in person would be a hardship, the petitioner may ask the judge at a hearing on the case for permission to take the class online.
If you take the online conservatorship orientation class, please make sure you bring the certificate of completion to your next hearing as proof you completed the course.
